To install it, Simply remove your downward deflector from the factory (older smokers require cutting the downward baffle out) and literally just set the upward deflector in place up against the factory grill grate frame studs and that's it! Get to cooking! (in the G2 model simply place the deflector about 3 inches away from the firebox wall.)
This deflector can fit in all the old country bbq pit models including the Brazos, Pecos, Wrangler, angus and the new g2!

*Though we refer to this as a deflector plate it can also be referred to as a baffle plate, heat deflector plate, tuning plate, heat deflector baffle etc. They all are related and preform in a similar way by redirecting heat. Ours simply redirects the heat up and over the food and creates very even temps allowing for almost full grate use so you don't have to always use the smoke stack side. *
